Safer Using

Safer drug use is a key principle of harm reduction – one of Australia’s primary approaches to addressing drug use in the community. Safer using encapsulates a wide variety of areas including access to NSP, peer education, information on how to reduce negative effects of drugs and what to do if something goes wrong, such as overdose or dirty hits. As AIVL represents issues of national significance for people who use/have used illicit drugs we believe safer drug using information is a critical area of importance and focus.
