Privacy Information

Your privacy is important to us and we want you to feel as comfortable as possible visiting our web site and using its services. Because we gather certain types of information about visitors to this site, we feel you should fully understand the terms and conditions surrounding the capture and use of that information. Optional, Voluntary Submissions

AIVL currently offers  a variety of different projects  and campaigns such as petitions and Friends of AIVL that visitors may take part in. To do this, AIVL collects the email addresses of users who voluntarily subscribe. The e-mails are stored and utilized only for their intended purpose until the user remove themselves from the mailing list.

Aggregated Tracking Information

AIVL tracks visitor traffic patterns throughout the site. However, we do not correlate this information with data about individual users. We do break down, for example, overall usage statistics according to a domain name (e.g., or browser type (e.g. Explorer, Netscape) by reading this information from the browser string (informational code contained in every web browser). We use tracking information to determine which areas of our sites visitors like and don’t like based on traffic to those areas. We do not track what individual users read, but rather how well each page performs overall. This helps us continue to build a better site.

AIVL uses the above-described information to tailor our content to suit your needs and help better understand our audience’s demographics. We will not share information about individual users with any third party, except to comply with applicable law or valid legal process.
