PhD Opportunity at the National Centre in HIV Social Research

An exciting opportunity to embark on a 3 year PhD scholarship in the area of harm reduction service provision.

The PhD project will involve a mixed-method (qualitative and quantitative) project examining a broad range of NSP service delivery models. Preference will be given to  candidates with a background in quantitative research with an interest in undertaking some training in qualitative research.

The scholarship is for a maximum of 3 years at a rate of $25,000per annum (tax exempt) and is open to Australian citizens or permanent residents.  The candidate should be available to begin study in session 1 2011. The minimum academic qualification accepted by The University of New South Wales is a degree with Honours 2(i) or equivalent.

The PhD candidate will be working with Professor Carla Treloar (c.treloar@unsw.edu.au) and Dr Limin Mao (limin.mao@unsw.edu.au).
